All breeding cats at Dreamcoons will be hip scored, and scanned via echocardiogram for HCM at around 12 months of age, and every 18-24 months thereafter that they are part of our breeding program.

She is very people oriented, and loves to be involved in whatever you are doing. Her tail is quite impressive for a young girl, and she uses it to convey her emotions, waving it around proudly wherever she goes. Poppy is DNA negative for the MYBPC3 gene, PKD, PKDef & SMA. Poppy had her heart scanned via echocardiogram by Dr Mariko Yata (cardiologist specialist) on 06/03/2025, with a normal/clear result. Poppy's hips have been scored, with an excellent result. She is a very gentle, sensitive soul, who will purr the second you so much as look at her. She also enjoys being involved in your business, and she and Poppy get up to all sorts together, a lot of which is on our kitchen bench. Anya is DNA negative for the MYBPC3 gene, PKD, PKDef & SMA. COOLCOONS TEQUILA SUNRISE Sire: Black Mamba of Heavensgate Dam: Ltrend Tri N Stop Me DOB: 07/07/2024 Black Tortie Sunny is by far the sassiest girl at home, she is a true embodiment of tortitude! Sunny is a mummy's girl, and I absolutely adore the bond I share with her. With the gorgeous "racing stripe" on her head she is incredibly striking to look at. She also has a very interesting pedigree, having 3 of 4 grandparents being imports. I am excited to watch her continued development. Sunny is DNA negative for the MYBPC3 gene, PKD, PKDef & SMA. Sire: Coonmagic Charlie Chaplin Dam: Ltrend Tri N Stop Me DOB: 10/01/2025 Black Tortie Bicolour Penny is co-owned by Coolcoons Maine Coons & myself. She resides here with us, and our crazy collective of Coonies, two of which are her older sisters. Penny is a sweetheart, and very un-tortie like in her demeanour. Penny only has eyes for me, and the bond we share makes me feel incredibly privileged. She and Sunny are great friends, and can often be found vying for the best spot on my lap. Penny is a very promising young lady, and her show career so far backs that up. Penny will be DNA tested soon (though we know she is DNA negative for the MYBPC3 gene, PKD, PKDef & SMA, by parentage), as well as heart scanned, and hip scored when she is of age. DREAMCOONS LAVENDER HAZE
Sire: CCCA GD CH & GL DGC Ltrend Sweethome Alabama Dam: Coolcoons Long Story Short DOB: 24/05/2025 Blue Silver Classic Tabby & White Hazy is our first home bred baby girl! She is a sweetheart with a huge purr, and so similar to her mum in personality - she also has Poppy's "happy tail", which we adore. I am looking forward to getting Hazy on the show bench for the last few shows of 2025, and into 2026. Hazy will be DNA tested in due course, as well as heart scanned, and hip scored when she is of age. Sire: Coonmagic Charlie Chaplin Dam: Ltrend Tri N Stop Me DOB: 27/02/2024 Black Tortie Pudge is a spay, but gets an honorary mention as she is also a huge part of the Dreamcoons clan. I was lucky enough to be looking after Pudge's mother when she was born - Pudge was a singleton kitten, which is quite rare. Being that she had no littermates, she and I formed a very close connection, and I never did anything without her help. Pudge went to live with Kim Mattock & Chris Wall at Coonmagic Maine Coons, with the intent of being a future breeding queen, and returning to us once her breeding career was finished. Pudge decided the breeding lifestyle was not for her, so was desexed for her wellbeing, and came home to live out her "retirement" with us. |
